MATT PAYNE
Chef / Owner
Born and raised in Burlington, Matt relocated to Niagara in 2006 shortly after graduating from Niagara College Culinary Arts program. He began working at Treadwell Farm to Table Cuisine in 2007 where he spent 11 years, 7 of which he was the Chef Du Cuisine. In that time he also travelled to Europe to work at a Michelin Star rated Inn where his passion for farm to table cuisine grew. While at Treadwell Matt was responsible for all of the production and execution of hundreds of catering events and weddings.
Matt left Treadwell in 2018 and began his next venture as Executive Chef at Ravine Estate Winery where his background in weddings and local cuisine was a great asset.
As an avid Hunter and Angler Matt’s style of cooking focuses on fresh and local cuisine, allowing the ingredients to speak for themselves.
